RP Graphite Electrode

It is used in ordinary power electric furnaces such as steelmaking, silicon smelting, and yellow phosphorus smelting. Made of petroleum coke and coal pitch as raw materials. It is characterized by low ash content, good electrical conductivity, high temperature resistance, and does not melt or deform under high temperatures. As a conductive material for electric arc furnace steelmaking, it can be used at current densities exceeding 17A/cm2. Specifications and model diameters: 100mm-960mm.

The difference between RP graphite electrode and high power and ultra high power grade graphite electrodes is that it does not contain needle coke. The production cycle is about 45 days and is mainly used for smelting ordinary steel, silicon, and yellow phosphorus. They offer several advantages, including high electrical conductivity, improved thermal shock performance, resistance to oxidation and corrosion, long life, ability to operate at high temperatures, and low environmental impact.

Industrial Application

Regular power graphite electrodes find extensive applications in industries such as foundries and EAF steelmaking. They are utilized in electric arc furnaces, ladle furnaces, and Submerged arc furnace.
