HP graphite electrode is used in a high-power smelting furnace and a low-load to medium-load ladle furnace. Electric arc furnace steelmaking is to introduce current into the steelmaking furnace through graphite electrodes, and the strong current passes through the gas at the lower end of the electrode to generate arc discharge. Then heat generated by the arc is used for smelting. It is suitable for High-power electric furnaces with high power, high voltage, and short angle.

What are HP graphite electrodes made of?

It is made of high-purity petroleum coke, needle coke, and coal tar pitch as raw materials. The product is calcined, extruded, roasted, impregnated, graphitized, and machined.  With low electrical resistance and high mechanical strength. It can be used in DC and AC electric arc furnaces and ladle refining furnaces for smelting various steel alloy sheets.

Applications.
