Grafit Folyo

Graphite foil, also known as soft graphite, is an extremely thin sheet made of a high-purity graphite material. And it is also known as expandable graphite. With its unique thermal,  chemical, electrical and frictional properties, it performs well in a wide range of modern industrial applications and is a strong and durable material that is well suited to dynamic needs.

Classified by purity

Standard purity graphite foil. The carbon content is generally about 99%. You can use this type of graphite foil to meet the needs of most common industrial applications. The cost is relatively reasonable, suitable for general thermal management and mechanical sealing scenarios.

High purity graphite foil. The carbon content reaches about 99.5%, sometimes also known as nuclear grade graphite foil. You can use this high-purity graphite foil in environments where purity is critical. Such as as a neutron moderator or as a reflector material in the nuclear industry.

Classification by shape

Flake graphite foil. This is a more common form, its shape is regular, easy to cut and process. It is convenient to make heat sinks or small sealing gaskets for small electronic devices. We can directly cut the flake graphite foil according to the specific size requirements to meet the specific shape and size requirements.

Disk graphite foil. This form is suitable for use in some applications that require winding or winding. It can be easily wound operation, while playing its thermal and insulation properties to ensure the stable operation of the coil.

Rolled graphite foil. It is easy to store, transport and use on a large scale. In industrial production, if a large number of graphite foils are needed, rolled graphite foils can be efficiently converted into final products through continuous processing methods.

Uses of graphite foil

Electronic and electrical field

Heat dissipation. Electronic equipment will generate a lot of heat during operation. Graphite foil has a high thermal conductivity. It can quickly conduct heat out, effectively reduce equipment temperature, improve performance and stability.

Energy field

Fuel cells. In fuel cells, you can use graphite foils as bipolar plates to separate fuel and oxidizer, collect and conduct current. And support membrane electrodes.

Solar cells. Electrodes or fluid collectors that can be used for solar cells. Its good electrical conductivity and chemical stability help to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability of solar cells.

Mechanical industry

Sealing material. It has excellent flexibility, corrosion resistance and high temperature stability. Graphite foil is the ideal material for manufacturing mechanical seals, gaskets. It is widely used in automotive, petroleum, chemical, paper and other industries of pipes, pumps, valves and other equipment seal. Because it can effectively prevent liquid, gas leakage.

Lubricating material. Due to the layered structure of graphite foil, it has a low coefficient of friction. This can be used as a solid lubricant for the lubrication of mechanical parts, reducing friction and wear, improving mechanical efficiency.

Chemical industry

Anti-corrosion lining. You can use it as the lining material of chemical containers, reactors, etc.. To prevent the corrosive medium in the container from corroding the equipment and extend the service life of the equipment.

Electrolytic cell electrode. In the electrolytic process, graphite foil as an elektrot can withstand high temperature, strong acid and alkali and other harsh environment. This can improve electrolytic efficiency and product quality.

Flexible graphite advantages

Generally, the graphite foil has a flake, disc or roll shape. Its advantages are significant.

With superior thermal stability, it can be stable in a wide temperature range of -200°C to about 450°C; The surface is highly reflective and is an excellent heat barrier; Chemical properties are inert; Low friction coefficient, can be used as self-lubricating foil; Easy to shape or cut; Highly durable;

Graphite foils have excellent thermal conductivity, enabling them to conduct heat quickly. This is critical in many thermal management applications. Its good graphite foil conductivity also makes it a potential application in electronics and electrical fields. Such as in some parts that need to conduct electricity and heat as an ideal material.

In terms of machinery, graphite foil bearings take advantage of their low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating characteristics. This can reduce friction losses, extend the service life of equipment and improve operating efficiency.
