HP grafietelektrode wordt geproduceerd met behulp van hoogwaardige petroleumcoke, naaldcoke en steenkoolpek als grondstoffen. Vervolgens wordt het product gecalcineerd, ge\u00ebxtrudeerd, geroosterd en ge\u00efmpregneerd, gegrafitiseerd<\/a>en machinaal bewerkt. HP grafietelektrode wordt gebruikt in een hoogvermogen-smeltoven en een laagbelaste tot middelbelaste gietpanoven. Bij staalfabricage met een vlamboogoven wordt de stroom via elektroden in de staaloven geleid en de sterke stroom gaat door het gas aan de onderkant van de elektrode om een boogontlading te genereren.
